Updated summer camp guidance

Posted on April 27, 2021 at 4:51 pm

As you know, several weeks ago we announced guidelines for university-sponsored camps this summer. After talking with many camp organizers, we have decided to shift guidance and not require proof of a negative PCR COVID-19 test for campers.

Our intention with requiring negative tests was based on widespread availability of testing. It has come to our attention that testing is not as available throughout the state as we had believe

In order to ensure that our university camps are inclusive and welcoming for all campers throughout the state, we are removing the testing mandate. We will still abide by all the state guidelines for camps, and we are confident we can maximize safety even with this shift in guidance.
