Massmail: First confirmed COVID-19 cases in university community
Chancellor Robert Jones has sent a massmail with information about the first two confirmed COVID-19 cases in the university community.

The Champaign Urbana Public Health District confirmed these cases and traced the individuals’ activities. CUPHD contacted the students, employees and community members who may have been in close proximity to the two employees. At this time, CUPHD reports the risk of transmission from these cases as very low.
Both individuals are in self-quarantine at home. We are told they are recovering and our thoughts are with them at this time. Federal health privacy laws prevent us from sharing any other information about individuals who have tested positive.
