weekly update on covid-19 from chancellor jones

Weekly Update from Chancellor Jones (10/12 – 10/16)

Posted on October 15, 2020 at 4:11 pm

We are promoting COVID-19 safety for on-campus voters.

Individuals voting on campus are strongly encouraged to wear a face covering and practice social distancing. There will also be changes to testing center locations and hours on Election Day (Nov. 3).

We are encouraging our university community to get their flu shot before the end of the month.

McKinley Health Center is providing free flu shots to all students who have paid the Health Service Fee and benefit eligible faculty, staff and retirees. If you aren’t sure how fast and easy it is, watch this short video reminder.

We have made updates to on-campus testing locations and hours in preparation for colder weather.

Check this list before your next test to ensure you know whether your location has moved.

We are sharing resources to help others maximize safety.

Students, faculty and staff can confidentially report safety concerns and non-compliance at go.illinois.edu/COVID19-report.

Thank you for your continued patience as we navigate COVID-19. Please feel free to direct questions to covid-19@illinois.edu.
